![]() Reformatted hard drive, tried to install OS, kernal panic?įortunately I had used Carbon Copy Cloner to save an image when things were working. Tried to install from another Mac using target mode, not allowed. Tried to boot from install disk, kernal panic. Guy check out the hardware and pronounced it good. Anything that put it to sleep caused a kernal panic requiring a restart. I recently had a similar issue with an older Powerbook. Warning: SUID file "usr/bin/quota" has been modified and will not be repaired. Permissions differ on "System/Library/CoreServices/Menu Extras/nu/Contents/CodeResources", should be -rw-r-r-, they are lrwxr-xr-x. Warning: SUID file "sbin/umount" has been modified and will not be repaired. Warning: SUID file "System/Library/PrivateFrameworks/amework/Versions/A/Resources/DiskManagementTool" has been modified and will not be repaired. Warning: SUID file "System/Library/Filesystems/AppleShare/afpLoad" has been modified and will not be repaired. I'm repairing the permissions as we speak. ![]() Usually I just close it and it goes into sleep. ![]()
